4 Ways to Rejuvenate Your Home on A Budget

Jan 22, 2022

January can feel like the longest month in the entire year! I strongly believe that creating a home that you love is one of the best things you can do for your health and well-being. Here are my top 4 tip for busting those January blues and rejuvenating your home on a tight budget:

1) Declutter

Having a good tidy and declutter of any room is a brilliant (& budget friendly) place to start. If you have anything that you no longer need or use then either donate it to charity or sell it on eBay or facebook. If you don't feel like parting with stuff right now then pack it away in a box or cupboard and deal with it another day. Make your day to day living space clean and tidy - you cannot over de-clutter!

2) Rearrange Your Furniture

A change is as good as a rest applies to furniture too. By changing the layout of a room you can alter the feel. With shorter days and grey weather you need to make use of all the natural light possible so reposition seating near windows. Swap furniture between rooms if possible. Change the focal point in a room and see how it makes you feel.

3) Paint Something!

Paint is relatively inexpensive and quick to make a transformation. Whether it's adding a little detail like the stencilling on this lampshade or painting the legs of a table or adding a splash of colour to a wall. It can make a massive difference in just an hour or two. See our paint ranges here

4) Glow Up

Let there be light - adding a new light source can change the feel of any room. Move a lamp from another room, light some beautiful candles, add a cordless light to a bookcase or table. Layering light at different levels and strengths adds another layer of texture to an interior. Shop lighting here
